This could be a thing...
(continued from okay, now what?)... so now we get into the crux of the idea...re-engage people with passion for culture in a modern and light way. Kerala on the whole lacks in terms of merchandising their heritage and promoting tourism with souvenirs. Sure your views are great...
but if you end up offering tourists products of inferior quality, as souvenirs, you don't make a good impression at all. A lack of commitment to a thing shows lack of maturity as a whole. Okay, so where does karimeen come into all this? Let's look further into the idea.
Creating T-shirts is a start...the aim is to engage the buyer to have a cultural lesson but in a short and refreshing way. What if you could have the full package....a product of good quality, along with a brief description? The description would need to be enough to engage the buyer in learning about it more by either looking around his/her environment, or through research. It should however NOT be too long as it would bore the buyer.
We could express the idea in an analogy... Look at this delicious Karimeen Varuthathu!!
Now that I got your visual attention, next is a brief description:
Delicious, savoury and spicy karimeen fried to achieve a crisp exterior and a beautiful soft interior! The smell of turmeric and chilly fills your nose as you taste the succulent fish with a dash of lime juice and some onion for crunch!
This gets someone engaged. Lets say you were in a restaurant and saw this picture and read a nice description, next thing would be to order and eat! If you were at home and saw this online the next thing you'd do is research for a recipe.
This same logic applies for products @ karimeen.inc.... engage, describe, and learn/experience!
In the upcoming posts I will share the development of the karimeen T-shirt designs...from a pen sketch to a physical product!
